Community Guidelines

Last updated: June 24, 2026

Embvrace is a supportive community for individuals navigating mental health challenges. These guidelines keep our community safe, respectful, and welcoming for everyone.

Zero Tolerance Policy

Embvrace has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Prohibited content includes harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, targeted abuse, sexually explicit content, spam, illegal content, impersonation, and content intended to harm or exploit another person. Embvrace may immediately remove prohibited content and suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Embvrace is built on empathy, respect, and mutual support. We ask every member to:

  • Be kind, respectful, and supportive of others' experiences
  • Share your own story honestly, but respect others' privacy
  • Listen with an open mind and without judgment
  • Keep content relevant to mental health support and self-care
  • Recognize that everyone's journey is different

When posting or commenting in our community forums:

  • Do not provide medical diagnoses or clinical advice — share experiences, not prescriptions
  • Do not post content that could trigger or harm other users without appropriate warnings
  • Do not share personal contact information or attempt to move conversations off-platform
  • Do not post spam, advertisements, or promotional content
  • Do not impersonate any person, professional, or organization

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate action:

  • Harassing, bullying, or targeting any individual or group
  • Making threats of violence or dangerous behavior
  • Using hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  • Posting sexual, explicit, or pornographic content
  • Promoting self-harm, eating disorders, or substance abuse
  • Sharing another user's private information without consent
  • Posting spam, scams, or malicious links
  • Creating multiple accounts to evade moderation
  • Attempting to exploit or manipulate vulnerable users
  • Posting illegal content

If you see content that violates these guidelines, you can report it directly from any post or comment:

  • Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right corner of any post or comment
  • Select "Report Post" or "Report Comment"
  • Choose a reason: harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content, spam, self-harm concern, impersonation, or other
  • Add an optional explanation to help our moderators understand the issue
  • Tap "Submit Report"

Reports Reviewed Within 24 Hours

All reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours of submission. You will receive a confirmation when your report is submitted.

Violating content may be removed from the community. Violating accounts may be suspended or permanently terminated.

If you want to stop seeing content from a specific user, you can block them:

  • Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) on any post or comment by that user
  • Select "Block User"
  • Confirm the action

When you block a user:

  • All posts and comments from that user immediately disappear from your screen
  • The blocked user's content is excluded from all your future Community browsing
  • The blocked user cannot directly interact with you
  • An administrator notification is automatically created for moderation awareness
  • No app restart or refresh is needed — changes take effect instantly

You can review and unblock users at any time in Settings → Blocked Users.

Users can never block themselves.

All posts and comments are automatically screened before publishing for:

  • Targeted harassment
  • Hate speech and slurs
  • Explicit sexual content
  • Credible threats
  • Spam
  • Malicious links

Legitimate discussions about mental health, treatment, recovery, grief, trauma, and requests for support are not blocked. We recognize that mental health conversations may involve sensitive language, and this is encouraged, not penalized.

If your content is rejected, you'll see a respectful explanation. You can revise and resubmit.

Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, Embvrace may:

  • Remove content that violates these guidelines
  • Warn the user about the violation
  • Temporarily suspend the user's ability to post and comment
  • Permanently ban the user from the community

When content is removed, it disappears from the Community immediately. When an account is banned, the user can no longer post, comment, or access Community features.

Embvrace is a support community, not a crisis service. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger:

  • Call 911 (or your local emergency number) for immediate danger
  • Contact the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988
  • Text HOME to 741741 for the Crisis Text Line
  • Do not use Embvrace as a substitute for emergency services
